The new Dacia Lodgy MPV has been given its official world debut at the Geneva motor show. Available as a five- or seven-seat MPV, the Lodgy MPV is the latest addition to the growing model range from the Renault-owned Romanian brand.

Few technical details of the Dacia Lodgy MPV have been issued, apart from the fact it is 4500mm in length. The name is derived from the word ‘lodge’ and, according to Dacia, refers to the model’s ability to comfortably accommodate a family and its luggage.

In the European market, the Duster and Sandero are expected to be offered with a 1.6-litre petrol and 1.5-litre diesel engines, and the Lodgy MPV could get the same powerplants.

To promote the Lodgy MPV, Dacia has created this 355bhp, four-wheel-drive, ice-racing version, which has been driven by Formula 1 legend Alain Prost in the Andros Trophy series.
