Following the Indian debut of the MyLink infotainment system alongside the launch of its premium SUV, the Trailblazer, Chevrolet has announced that it will extend the use of this system to other models in its line-up.
The next-gen Cruze, expected to head to Indian shores in 2017 after its possible debut at the 2016 Auto Expo, will also feature the MyLink infotainment system. Other models likely to get the touchscreen infotainment system will be the next-gen Beat and its sibling the Beat compact sedan – both of which are also set to launch in 2017. The next-gen Beat, unlike the international model, will be a heavily reworked version of the current model though it is expected to share parts with the all-new Spark (Beat) that made its international debut earlier this year.
What does the Chevrolet MyLink offer?
- 7.0-inch touchscreen display
- USB, aux and Bluetooth connectivity
- Audio streaming and connectivity to view photos and videos
- Hands-free telephony and phonebook access
- Customising settings for warning signals, lighting functionalities and automatic door locks
- Internet radio functionality
- Rear-view camera display with guidelines
The MyLink infotainment system is likely to only be offered on the top-trim levels of the next-gen Beat siblings. It may make its way into the lower trims of the next-gen Cruze, once it goes on sale.
