Nissan Micra Active

The petrol-only Micra Active is long in the tooth now and lacks the appeal of newer rivals. However, it's a city-friendly car, thanks to the light steering and compact dimensions. Discounts of about Rs 65,000 are being offered on this entry-level Nissan model.

Honda Brio

Maruti Swift

Maruti's popular hatch is being offered at a discount of around Rs 20,000. With the new-generation car scheduled to launch towards the end of the year, you could try bargaining a bit more on the current model. The Swift is available in petrol and diesel engine options but lacks the option of an automatic gearbox. Direct rivals include the Grand i10 and the Toyota Liva.
