Massive price cuts for Land Rover SUVs in India

Price of the Range Rover Vogue has been cut by Rs 50 lakh.

Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) India recently announced a price reduction across its model line-up. The locally assembled Land Rover Discovery Sport gets a Rs 4 lakh reduction across the board while Range Rover Evoque (also locally built) gets around a Rs 3 lakh reduction.

While the reduction on the locally built models is appreciable, the cuts on the imported units are simply massive. The Range Rover Sport is lower by Rs 30 lakh and the company’s flagship model, the Range Rover Vogue, gets a whopping Rs 50 lakh cut in its asking price.

The Pound’s drop in value post Brexit has enabled these cuts for JLR India and the Indian-owned firm will be hoping to put up a better fight against its German and Swedish competitors.
