The Innova Crysta diesel will finally see a relaunch along with a price announcement sometime in February 2023, according to dealer sources. Toyota India recently announced that it has begun accepting bookings again for the Innova Crysta, however, launch details were not revealed.

    1. Reintroduced Innova Crysta will be diesel only
    2. No automatic gearbox on offer
    3. Gets two seating layouts

    Innova Crysta diesel: delivery details

Bookings for the Innova Crysta diesel are currently in full swing and dealers tell us that deliveries will commence by late April at most outlets. While the reintroduced Innova Crysta is being targeted at chauffeur-driven buyers and fleet operators, we are told that a good chunk of bookings is still being received from individual buyers. One of the key reasons for this is that the new Innova Hycross does not get a diesel engine but comes with a petrol or a petrol-hybrid powertrain only.

A quick check with multiple dealer sources confirms that Toyota will first begin deliveries for the Innova Crysta GX variants (for private and fleet buyers) by late April. The mid-level Innova Crysta VX and the top-spec ZX will be reaching showrooms for customer deliveries only by June or July.

    Innova Crysta diesel: expected pricing

Expect the reintroduced Innova Crysta diesel to start around the Rs 20 lakh mark (ex-showroom), with the top-spec Innova Crysta ZX to be priced at around the Rs 27 lakh mark. In comparison, the Innova Hycross hybrid line-up starts at Rs 24.01 lakh for the VX variant, going up to Rs 28.97 lakh for the top-spec Innova Hycross ZX (O).
