Mahindra Bolero Neo

Scores 1-star safety rating at GNCAP crash test

Adult occupant protection

20.26 points out of 34 possible

Child occupant protection

12.71 points out of 49 possible

The SUV had an unstable structure and footwell area.

It showed weak chest protection and poor feet protection for the driver.

The front impact test showed a significant difference with the side impact protection, resulting in poor overall scores.

Lack of 3-point seat belts for all passenger and one child restraint system (CRS) resulted in low scores even though the child protection showed “acceptable dynamic performance”.

Another reason for a low overall rating is the presence of side facing seats for the third row.

However, this should not come as a surprise given that it's an old platform now.
