Aprilia will soon launch the Tuono 457 in India, as the company has sent us an invite to try out an all-new product in the middle of February. The Tuono 457 was first shown at EICMA 2024, a little over a year after the RS 457 first broke onto the scene.
- Gets a different headlight design to all other Aprilia bikes
- Is near identical mechanically to the RS
- Has a marginally smaller fuel tank, shorter final drive gearing
Aprilia Tuono 457 expected price, features
The Tuono 457 is quite different in the way it looks compared to its faired sibling and also has different styling compared to other larger capacity Tuonos. Another notable difference is the slightly reduced fuel tank capacity: 12.7 litres on the Tuono versus 13 litres on the RS 457. However, both motorcycles have the same 175kg kerb weight.
It will get the same 457cc parallel-twin producing 47.6hp and 43.5Nm, paired with a 6-speed gearbox along with a slip-assisted clutch. A bi-directional quickshifter will be available as an optional accessory.
The Tuono 457 will carry over the RS 457’s electronic suite, including a 5-inch TFT display with Bluetooth connectivity and three riding modes that adjust ABS, traction control and throttle sensitivity. There will be two colours on offer – red and grey.
The Aprilia Tuono 457 will rival the KTM 390 Duke and the Yamaha MT-03. While the RS 457 is priced at Rs 4.20 lakh (ex-showroom, India), the Tuono is likely to be positioned below it, somewhere around the Rs 4 lakh mark or perhaps even slightly below it.
