One of Bajaj’s more affordable Pulsar models, the 150 Neon, has witnessed another price hike. The most recent hike, of around Rs 5,000, has taken the 150cc motorcycle’s price to Rs 90,000 (ex-showroom, Delhi). The on-road cost, meanwhile, is expected to cross the Rs 1 lakh-mark.

Bajaj launched the Pulsar 150 Neon back in November 2018 at Rs 64,889. Not only was it the cheapest 150cc motorcycle on sale, but also the company’s most affordable Pulsar offering. As time went on, the 150 Neon witnessed multiple small price hikes. Bajaj also went on to launch a 125cc version of the bike, which took the 150 Neon's title of being the most affordable Pulsar.

In April 2020, the 150 Neon got its largest price hike (Rs 10,336) as the company made the required changes to make it BS6-compliant. We aren’t sure of the reason for the latest Rs 5,000 increase, but what we do know is that it has gone up by around Rs 25,000 since it made its debut two years ago; this a massive increase of 38 percent.

Even at this higher price point, the Bajaj Pulsar 150 Neon is still Rs 7,000 cheaper than its closest rival, the TVS Apache RTR 160.
