The Pulsar N160 has been a success for Bajaj, with good acceptance from customers as well as winning numerous awards, including our own Bike of the Year award in 2022. However, its smaller sibling, the P150, has gotten off to a tougher start and it appears that Bajaj has come up with a new motorcycle to make the 150 platform more appealing to buyers.

    1. New N150 launch soon
    2. Engine from Pulsar P150
    3. Style and bodywork of Pulsar N160

Images captured at a dealership show a new Bajaj Pulsar bike that appears ready for launch. The sticker on the motorcycle gives away the fact that this bike will be called the Bajaj Pulsar N150.

Going by the name, the bike now gets the more aggressive bodywork from the Pulsar N160. This includes the more angular and sporty projector headlamp, the bigger tank extensions and the tail section from the N160.

Interestingly, both the new Pulsar N150 bikes spotted at the dealership had a single-piece seat and the more conventional grab handle from the single-disc Pulsar P150. It remains to be seen whether this bike will be available in one or two variants, however, a second-dual disc variant is likely to be offered as well. Expect the bike to ship with single-channel ABS on both variants.

In terms of powertrain, the N150 will likely use the very same engine as the P150. You can read more about that bike in our review, but expect a smooth engine that produces 14.5hp and 13.5Nm mated to a 5-speed gearbox.

The instrument console appears the same as the semi-digital unit seen in all the new-age Pulsars. In terms of colours, the N150 was spotted in red and white schemes and it remains to be seen if Bajaj will offer any other colours as the P150 has five colours available.

The Bajaj Pulsar P150 currently starts at Rs 1.17 lakh (ex-showroom), while the Pulsar N160 starts at Rs 1.3 lakh (ex-showroom). Expect the new Bajaj Pulsar N150 to command a roughly Rs 5,000-7,000 premium over the P150, but maintain a decent distance to the bigger N160 when it goes on sale soon.
