The premium 125cc commuter space has seen two very credible entrants from TVS and Hero in the form of the popular Raider and the Xtreme 125R, respectively. Now it seems as though Bajaj will be joining the fray with its own aspirational, premium 125cc commuter.

    1. LED headlight, mirrors are all-new
    2. Wheels are the same as Pulsar N150
    3. Skinny tyres, drum rear brake hint this is a 125cc model

New Bajaj 125cc bike spotted testing: what can we see?

First things first, how can you identify this is a Bajaj product without any visible defining styling traits or badging? Well, the registration number is similar to previous Bajaj test mules, and Bajaj-made Triumphs and KTMs have carried a similar registration tag.

The skinny tyres and the rear drum brake are clear indicators of this being a smaller bike than the typical 150-160cc bike. The wheels on this bike seem to be very similar to the Bajaj Pulsar N150, so it could use similar tyre sizes to that bike, but we cannot affirm that at this stage.

Coming to the bike itself, this Bajaj product seems to have an all-new design. This can be seen in the unfamiliar LED headlight’s shape and the beefy tank extensions, which really give it some front heaviness in terms of design. Even the mirror lenses on this test mule are new and don’t have any resemblance to existing Bajaj two wheelers. The tail section seems upswept and this bike has a split seat setup, but it's not too aggressive and is similar to something we’ve seen on the Raider.

This is a sporty 125 from Bajaj to rival the Raider and Xtreme 125R, so it's also possible that this could be a more premium variant of the upcoming Bajaj CNG bike – the Bruzer.

There is still a lot of murkiness surrounding this machine and we expect things to get clearer in the coming weeks.
