Benelli India is set to unveil the 502 C, its first-ever cruiser motorcycle for the Indian market, on July 8, 2021. The company made the announcement by releasing a short teaser video, giving us a glimpse of the motorcycle.

- 500cc, inline-twin makes 47hp and 45Nm
- Expected to be priced between Rs 4-5 lakh
Benelli 502 C: design and equipment
The Benelli 502 C bears a striking resemblance to the Ducati Diavel 1260. The large 21.5-litre fuel tank takes pride of place in the entire scheme of things, while the tail section is minimal and just enough to accommodate the single-piece seat. The low-slung stance of the bike looks attractive, while offering a decent 170mm ground clearance.
In terms of equipment, the Benelli 502 C gets full-LED lighting and a TFT instrument cluster with day/night mode that changes automatically.
Benelli 502 C: engine
The Benelli 502 C is powered by a 500cc, inline, twin-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine that produces 47hp at 8,500rpm and 45Nm at 5,000rpm. It is paired with a 6-speed gearbox. This motor is also seen in Benelli’s neo-retro offering, the Leoncino 500.
Benelli 502 C: chassis
The 502 C employs a tubular steel trellis frame and is suspended by a non-adjustable 41mm USD fork and monoshock. Braking duties are taken care of by twin 280mm discs at the front and 240mm disc at the rear. Interestingly, the wheelbase, at 1,600mm, is identical to that of the Ducati Diavel 1260.
Benelli 502 C: launch time
The price of the Benelli 502 C will be announced in the last week of July, and we expect it to sit between the Rs 4-5 lakh mark. The motorcycle can be pre-booked from July 8 onwards at any Benelli showroom in India. Stay tuned for our review that will be out as soon as we get our hands on a test bike.
