EICMA 2024: Hero Xpulse 210, power, comfort, off-road, design

After 5 years of the Xpulse using the air/oil-cooled engine, Hero has finally bestowed its popular off-roader with the liquid-cooled engine from the Karizma XMR, and now, we have the Xpulse 210, shown for the first time at EICMA 2024. Alongside the popular off-roader, Hero has also taken the wraps off the new Xtreme 250R and the Karizma 250.

    1. 210cc motor makes 24.6hp and 20.7Nm
    2. Design similar to the Xpulse 200
    3. Switchable ABS, 21-in front and 18-in rear wheels help off-road

Hero Xpulse 210: engine, design, features, other updates

The biggest change to the Xpulse 210 over the Xpulse 200 is, of course, the new motor from the Karizma XMR. However, output figures have changed slightly here. The Karizma is rated at 25.5hp, but the Xpulse 210 is rated slightly lower, at 24.6hp. Peak torque, at 20.7Nm, is the same on both though.

The Xpulse 210 is visually similar to the smaller 200, but there are some giveaways. The big one is the new paint schemes. Nuanced differences on the 210 include a sharp dip from the tank to the rider's seat; the 200's tank almost flows into the seat like a dirtbike.

Suspension travel stands at 210mm/205mm (front/rear) and the Xpulse has switchable ABS – both should come in handy when bombing down a trail. Wheel sizes are 21-inch front and 18-inch rear, which indicates its off-road intent.

A new 4.2-inch TFT dash is also on offer on the Xpulse 210, which is a unique thing for an off-road-focused bike at this end of the market. We expect the Xpulse 210 to go on sale in India in the near future.

Currently, the Xpulse 200 is priced between Rs 1.47 lakh and Rs 1.55 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi) and the 210 will be priced higher. Like with the current Xpulse, the 210 will also have a rally kit on offer.
