Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India (HMSI) has issued a recall for the recently launched H’ness CB350 in India. The recall is to rectify an issue in the transmission.

    • Bikes manufactured between November 25 and December 12, 2020, have been recalled

    • Campaign starts from March 23

    • Honda will replace the part, free of charge

Honda has not revealed how many motorcycles have been affected, but bikes manufactured between November 25, 2020 and December 12, 2020, have been recalled.

The manufacturer released a statement saying it has "identified a different material grade usage in the countershaft 4th gear of the transmission, which may lead to a defect upon extensive running/usage of the motorcycle. However, there are no cases of any failure reported until date."

Affected motorcycles will be recalled to BigWing dealerships across India, starting from 23 March, 2021, as a precautionary measure to replace the affected part, free of cost, irrespective of the warranty status of the vehicle. The manufacturer has said its dealers have already started notifying customers who may have been affected by the issue.
