The next-gen KTM 390 Adventure has been spotted testing numerous times before, but a new feature has been seen this time around – cruise control. This will make the small KTM ADV the first bike in its class to get cruise control, a much-asked-for feature.

    1. Gets an all-new design in line with bigger KTMs
    2. Different switchgear compared to 390 Duke
    3. Runs on wire-spoke rims with tubed dual-purpose tyres

The addition of cruise control to the next-gen KTM 390 Adventure is a big deal because the outgoing model was often used on long tours and a lot of owners have been asking for it. Cruise control is something that is usually reserved for bigger sport-touring bikes and ADVs, and it is nice to see Bajaj and KTM incorporate such a useful feature on a small-capacity bike.

To that end, KTM has incorporated a dedicated set of switches on the left-hand cube with plus and minus buttons, presumably to increase and decrease the set speed with the system on.

Other details that can be observed in these images are an adjustable long-travel fork, tubed wire-spoke rims, a very slim overall design with purposeful bodywork, knurled footpegs and the new 399cc engine from the current 390 Duke.

Aside from the upcoming 2025 KTM 390 Adventure R, the TVS Apache RTR 310 and the RR 310 are the only other bikes in the sub-500cc class in India to offer cruise control. To read our full road test on the Apache RTR 310, tap HERE.

The current KTM 390 Adventure line-up is priced between Rs 2.84 lakh and Rs 3.64 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). It remains to be seen how many variants of the next-gen bike are offered and what sort of price hike they will command. The next-gen KTM 390 Adventure R, 390 Enduro R and 390 SMC R will break cover at EICMA on November 5, so stay plugged in for the latest developments.
