Royal Enfield sold 26,775 650cc bikes in FY24

    Total sales include 11,704 units of the Super Meteor 650 and 15,071 units of the Interceptor 650 and Continental GT 650.

    The Royal Enfield Super Meteor 650 and the 650 Twins (Interceptor 650 and Continental GT 650) have together sold a total of 26,775 units in the first 10 months of the ongoing fiscal, as per latest numbers from SIAM for the 500cc-800cc motorcycle category. Another interesting tid-bit is that with just over a year since launch, the Super Meteor 650 has sold 13,997 units.

    Royal Enfield has a 97 percent share of the 500cc-800cc motorcycle segment, with the remaining three percent – 902 units – made up by Triumph Motorcycles India (463 units), Kawasaki Motors (396 units) and Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India (43 units).

    The Super Meteor 650 is gaining international market presence, and is now sold in Turkey. The Royal Enfield Super Meteor 650 shares its engine with the Interceptor 650 and Continental GT 650, and these two bikes contributed a whopping 15,071 units to the company's sales. With its prices ranging between Rs 3.64 lakh-3.94 lakh, the Royal Enfield Super Meteor 650 continues to have very little competition, and its closest rival on paper is the Benelli 502C (Rs 5.25 lakh).
