The popular Suzuki Access 125 got its last update in 2016, just before the BS4 emissions norms kicked in and it's been largely unchanged ever since. Now, however, a test mule of what seems to be a facelifted Suzuki Access 125 has been spotted testing.

    1. Now gets a storage cubby at the front
    2. Exhaust heat shield, rear mudguard redesigned
    3. Still runs on a 10-inch rear wheel

Suzuki Access 125 facelift: what can be seen?

Despite no visible badging on the test mule, one can make out from the silhouette that this is the Access 125. It still has a very neutral design with smooth body panels and we don’t expect any tectonic shifts in the way it looks compared to the current model. What can be seen is that the headlight cowl has been redesigned and appears to have a beefier look than the current-gen scooter.

The Suzuki Access 125 has always been a practical scooter, and the addition of a storage cubby on the right hand size further ups this quotient. The exhaust heat shield and the rear mudguard have been redesigned as well. It remains to be seen if Suzuki plays around with the 21.8-litre underseat storage area given that both ICE and EV rivals now offer upwards of 30 litres of storage.

One of the test mules also features hazard lights, and this should make its way to the production-spec model as well. Currently, the features suite on the Access 125 includes a kill switch, external fuel filler lid, USB charging port, a one-push central lock system and two luggage hooks.

It is worth noting that the Access 125 facelift is still running on a 10-inch rear wheel, despite the fact that most new scooters in this day and age run on a 12-inch unit. We expect the mechanicals to remain familiar, even if it's just slight tweaks over the current model. The current Suzuki Access 125 is priced from Rs 79,899-90,500 (ex-showroom, Delhi), and we expect prices to go up slightly when this facelift launches.
