Less than a year after the Vida V1 electric scooter was launched, parent company Hero MotoCorp has planned to expand, both, the model line-up and dealerships in India.

    1. New Vida models will have different design language
    2. More than 100 new Vida dealerships to open in FY24
    3. Dealerships to be split into three categories of different sizes

Recently, Vida expanded its reach across quite a few Tier-I and Tier-II cities in India, but the company has plans to expand to over 100 locations across the country in FY24. There will also be three different types of Vida dealerships – Vida Experience Centre, Vida Hub and Vida Pod.

As the name suggests, the Experience Centre will be a full-fledged conventional showroom and will be the largest of the three types of outlets. The Vida Hub will be the middle ground and will be a medium-sized outlet for the EV subsidiary of Hero. The smallest Vida touch point of the lot, the Vida Pod, will likely have just one e-scooter on display and would probably be more of a mall kiosk. All this dealer-level expansion will be carried out in FY24.

The new Vida models that will follow will most likely have different styling, and perhaps, undergo some changes to its powertrain as well. However, it's too soon to say what to expect since the plans to expand the Vida line-up are slated to take place in ‘FY25 and beyond’, which is over two years away. The Vida V1 is the only homegrown electric scooter from an established name to currently offer the convenience of a swappable battery setup.
