2019 Isuzu D-Max V-Cross facelift launched at Rs 15.51 lakh

Isuzu has just launched the D-max V-Cross facelift in our market with two trim levels – the Standard grade and a new High grade Z variant – which get an introductory price of Rs 15.51 lakh and Rs 17.03 lakh (ex-showroom, Mumbai) respectively. Bookings for the refreshed D-max can be made at Isuzu dealerships from today onwards.

The D-max V-Cross sports a variety of exterior styling changes – new Bi-LED headlamps, chrome surrounds on the fog lights, sporty roof rails, a shark-fin antenna, a new side step-board, blacked-out B pillar, chrome rear bumper with embedded LED taillights and set of new 18-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels to name a few. The updated D-Max is now also offered with two new colours – Sapphire Blue and Silky Pearl White – in addition to the colours already on offer comprising of Ruby Red, Titanium Silver, Obsidian Grey, Cosmic Black and Splash White.

On the inside, both variants of the V-Cross facelift come equipped with an all-black interior and new re-profiled seats; although the High grade (Z) variant also gets perforated leather upholstery for the seats. The interiors also sport a 3D Design Electroluminescent Meter and a Gear Shift Indicator in the instrument binnacle, a USB charging port on the second row and piano-black accents around the cabin. Keyless entry and go is also part of the package, as well as a 7.0-inch infotainment touch screen with USB input, DVD, AUX, iPod and Bluetooth connectivity.

Isuzu has also fitted the new D-max V-Cross with a range of safety features like seat belts with pretensioners in addition to a load-limiter, speed-sensitive auto door lock, co-driver seat-belt reminder, HSA (hill-start Assist) and HDC (hill-descent control), ABS with EBD, and more.

Power comes from the same 2.5-litre, BS4-compliant diesel engine from the outgoing car which produces 134hp and 320Nm of torque. The engine is paired to a 5-speed manual gearbox. The V-Cross also features a four-wheel-drive system with a shift-on-fly function, driving modes and high ride suspension which give it a wider and longer track. The chassis has also been tuned with the iGRIP feature (Isuzu Gravity Response Intelligent Platform) which is supposed to improve ride stability, even at high speeds.
