Audi has launched Lifestyle Editions of its A4 sedan and Q7 SUV priced at Rs 43.09 lakh (going up to Rs 48.56 lakh) and Rs 75.82 lakh (going up to Rs 87.28 lakh) (ex-showroom, pan-India), respectively. Although both models remain mechanically unchanged and are available with petrol and diesel engine options, they do get more features and accessories as a part of the package. Prices for the A4 Lifestyle Edition are about Rs 1.5 lakh more than the standard A4, while Audi Q7 Lifestyle prices are about Rs 2 lakh more.

To justify the premium, the Audi A4 Lifestyle Edition features a new rear spoiler, a smoked effect for the LED tail-lights and puddle lamps that project the Audi logo on the outside. Inside, it gets sporty stainless steel pedals and a rear seat entertainment package which includes two, 10-inch HD ready screens with 16 GB internal memory. The screens can be operated using the “RSE remote” smartphone application, which is available for both Apple and Android phones.

On the Q7 Lifestyle Edition’s exterior, there’s the addition of the puddle lamps that project the ‘Quattro’ logo and a pair of stainless steel side running boards. The boards have an anti-slip strip on it and can carry a maximum load of 150kg each. In the cabin, the Q7 Lifestyle Edition gets the same rear entertainment package as the A4, along with an ‘Espresso Mobil’ portable coffee machine and an ‘Audi Cool Box’ in the boot.

As both models remain mechanically unchanged, the A4 continues to be powered by a 150hp, 1.4-litre turbo-petrol engine and a 190hp, 2.0-litre turbo-diesel motor. Both units send power to the front wheels via a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. The Audi Q7, meanwhile, is powered by either a 249hp, 3.0-litre turbo-diesel V6 or a 251hp, 2.0-litre four-cylinder turbo-petrol, both of which come coupled to an 8-speed torque converter automatic gearbox. Both engines send power to all-four wheels via Audi’s Quattro all-wheel drive system.

Earlier in March, Audi also introduced the A6 Lifestyle Edition at Rs 49.99 lakh (ex-showroom, pan-India), which also got features such as the rear seat entertainment package and the portable coffee machine. In terms of rivals, the Audi A4 takes on the BMW 3 Series, the Mercedes-Benz C-class and the Jaguar XE, while the Q7 competes with the BMW X5, Mercedes-Benz GLE and the Land Rover Discovery.
