Audi has launched a new A6 Lifestyle Edition, with prices starting at Rs 49.99 lakh (ex-showroom, India) for the petrol engine model. Compared to the standard A6, the Lifestyle Edition comes with additional kit and accessories in a bid to impart a greater sense of value.
The most notable additions to the Lifestyle Edition are the inclusion of a rear seat entertainment package. As part of the package, rear occupants get two individual 10-inch networked tablets mounted on the back of the front seats, which are capable of being removed and used as tablets even outside the car. Other kit added includes puddle lamps that project the brand’s logo on the ground and an in-car espresso maker.
In addition, the Lifestyle Edition carries forward kit from the standard A6 such as a Bose surround sound system, adaptive air suspension, Audi’s drive select drive models and the brand’s MMI infotainment system with navigation and voice commands.
Audi has confirmed that the A6 Lifestyle Edition will come with the same engine options as the standard A6 – the 190hp 1.8-litre turbo-petrol and the 190hp, 2.0-litre turbo-diesel. Both come mated to a 7-speed automatic transmission.
In terms of pricing, the standard A6 petrol is priced at a premium of roughly Rs 5.89 lakh over the new Lifestyle edition. The model is a rival to the likes of the BMW 5-series and Mercedes E-class in the Indian market.
