The Audi Q8 e-tron replaces the e-tron and both variants are available in both SUV and Sportback body styles. The 50 trim gets a 95kWh battery with dual motors that produce 340hp and 664Nm, and while the SUV has a claimed range of 491km, the Sportback has 505km.

The slightly more powerful 55 trim gets a larger 114kWh battery and has a range of 582km and 600km for the SUV and Sportback, respectively. The 55 also makes more power – 408hp and 664Nm.

Audi claims that both trims will be offered with a 22KW AC charger and will be capable of DC fast charging up to 170KW, and the latter, according to the company, can be charged from 10-80 percent in just 31 minutes.

The Q8 e-tron comes with a 10.1-inch infotainment system and an 8.6-inch unit for controlling the HVAC system. Other features include a 16-speaker Bang & Olufsen speaker system, a panoramic sunroof, a 360-degree camera, four-zone climate control and adaptive air suspension.

Audi Q8 e-tron India launch and rivals

Audi will launch the Q8 e-tron in India on August 18, and the EV will rival the Jaguar I-Pace, which is priced from Rs 1.19 crore-1.24 crore. The Mercedes-Benz EQC that's no longer on sale, would also have rivaled the Audi.
