BMW’s facelifted 7 Series had earlier been spotted testing with camouflage on the nose and trunk. Now, an image of the car has surfaced online showing the nose sans any camouflage. The image, leaked by a Russian blogger, has since been taken down.
The leaked images show that the 7’s styling has been brought in line with the latest BMW family design cues, with sleeker LED headlamps with more angular LED DRL inserts, a larger, more prominent grille, and a new front bumper. Compared to the unit on the current model, the air dam on the facelifted car is more prominent.
Previous spy shots of test mules also reveal revised tail-lamps. And while the bumper here had been camouflaged, minor tweaks are expected on it as well.
Images of the test mule’s cabin reveal minor changes on the inside, with the most notable one being the revised digital instrument cluster that’s similar to one on the all-new X5 and the 3 Series on sale in international markets.
Under the hood, the updated 7 is likely to carry forward with its current range of engines. However, as per reports, the 740e hybrid available in international markets is expected to make way for a more powerful 745e.
Expect BMW to reveal the facelifted 7 Series in the coming months, with an India launch likely to follow.
