BMW X7 Signature Edition launched at Rs 1.33 crore

    BMW has launched the X7 Signature Edition in India at Rs 1.33 crore (ex-showroom), which gets visual enhancements over the standard X7 and is available in limited numbers. This special edition is only available in the xDrive40i variant and will be locally produced at the BMW Group Plant in Chennai.

    BMW X7 Signature Edition: what’s new?

    The X7 Signature Edition comes equipped with crystal headlamps with Swarovski glass-cut crystals and Aluminium Satinated roof rails on the outside. The LED tail-lamps get a new inner graphic, and the chrome bar connecting them is covered by smoked glass. It is available in exclusive BMW Individual paintworks: Tanzanite Blue and Dravit Grey.

    On the inside, the special edition gets Individual leather for the instrument panel, unique crystal door pins, and Alcantara cushions. The equipment on offer includes the BMW Curved Display consisting of a 14.9-inch touchscreen and a 12.3-inch digital driver’s display, a head-up display, the BMW Intelligent Personal Assistant, a panoramic sunroof, and much more.

    The Signature Edition is 3 lakh costlier than the standard BMW X7 xDrive40i, which is priced at Rs 1.30 crore.

    BMW X7 Signature Edition: powertrain, specs

    Powering the X7 Signature Edition is the same 3.0-litre, 6-cylinder turbo-petrol engine with 48V mild-hybrid tech. This engine puts out 381hp and 520Nm of peak torque, helping the three-row SUV sprint from 0-100kph in 5.8 seconds. The engine comes mated to an 8-speed automatic gearbox with the xDrive all-wheel drive setup.

    The BMW X7 faces competition from three-row luxury SUVs such as the Mercedes GLS, Volvo XC90, and Audi Q7.
