Hyundai has released the first set of images and details of the upcoming Alcazar facelift’s interior and will announce its price on September 9. Just like its exterior, the updated Alcazar gets a new interior inspired by the Creta, along with some new feature additions.

    1. Refreshed Alcazar gets a new-look dual-tone interior
    2. It has more features than the pre-facelift model
    3. The powertrain remains the same

Hyundai Alcazar facelift: What’s new inside?

Most prominently, the Alcazar facelift gets the new-look dashboard from the Creta, with the 10.25-inch fully digital instrument cluster and a 10.25-inch infotainment screen placed beside each other. The interior has a dual-tone theme in tan (Noble Brown in Hyundai speak) and dark blue (Haze Navy). As can be seen in the pictures released by Hyundai, this dual-tone combination makes Alcazar’s cabin distinct from the Creta’s.

The front and rear captain’s chairs also have new contouring and are finished in the same dual-tone scheme as the dashboard. The second-row individual seats have much larger headrests with foldable extensions, and the area is more spacious as Hyundai has removed the fixed centre console that was placed between the captain’s seats. This liberates more space between the seats as they now get individual armrests, and one can easily walk through to the third row from the second.

Sources tell us buyers didn’t like that they couldn’t walk between the captain seats to reach the third row. Hyundai also says that the new-look seats have better cushioning and are more comfortable than the outgoing Alcazar’s.

As for features, all four individual seats on the Alcazar facelift with the six-seat configuration can be cooled. In the seven-seat option, this feature is restricted to the front seats only. The wireless and USB charging pad for the second row has now moved to the back of the front row’s armrest. The front seats are electrically adjustable for the driver and passenger. Driver’s seats get a memory function with welcome retract.

The centre console gets brushed aluminium trim and is replete with buttons for drive modes and an electronic parking brake. Higher variants get automatic climate control as standard. Additionally, expect the new Alcazar to get ADAS just like the Creta, along with a 360-degree camera and blind spot assist. LED lights, panoramic sunroof and a few other bits will carry over from the current model to the facelift.
