Tucked away in the corner at Hyundai’s Auto Expo 2025 stall is the Creta 1.0 Turbo petrol, which can also run on pure E100 ethanol. This Creta variant is usually seen in South American markets, where there is a higher preference for ethanol-powered vehicles.

    1. The Creta 1.0T has the same engine as the Venue and i20
    2. It has no visual differences from the other models in the Creta line-up
    3. The Creta Electric was recently launched in India

Apart from the smaller 1.0-litre turbo petrol engine, we couldn't find any unique feature on this version of the Creta. The engine in this Hyundai Creta is the same 1.0-litre GDI turbo petrol unit, producing 120hp and 172Nm, also found in the Hyundai Venue 1.0 and i20. It has been further modified to run on E100 ethanol, which does not contain any petrol mixture. A six-speed torque converter automatic handles the transmission duties in this SUV.

While Hyundai has not announced plans to launch a 1.0 turbo Creta in India, the SUV was showcased at the Auto Expo to highlight Hyundai’s readiness for flex-fuel technology. In India, the Creta is already on sale with multiple powertrain options, including two petrol variants, a diesel, and the recently launched Creta Electric.
