Isuzu D-Max V-Cross facelift to be priced from Rs 14.27 lakh

    The pre-facelift D-Max V-Cross currently on sale.

Isuzu is expected to introduce a facelift for its D-Max V-Cross lifestyle pickup truck in February 2018. Unlike the current V-Cross on sale (priced at Rs 14.28 lakh), the refreshed model will be available in two variants – V-Cross and V-Cross High, priced at Rs 14.27 lakh and Rs 15.77 lakh, respectively (all prices ex-showroom, Andhra Pradesh). Dealers have started accepting bookings for the lifestyle pickup.

The D-Max facelift gets exterior tweaks, interior changes and more kit than the current one. While the front is quite similar, the side step is new, as is the tweaked tailgate with a chrome handle. The V-Cross High trim also gets chrome treatment on the rear bumper, LED daytime running lights and LED tail-lamps.

On the inside, the standard D-Max V-Cross gets a new touchscreen audio system and a rear camera. The High trim also comes with a six-way electrically adjustable driver seat, black leather seats and a multi-functional steering wheel with cruise control. Safety kit also sees the addition of electronic stability control and traction control.

Under the hood, the pickup truck retains the 2.5-litre, four-cylinder, turbo-diesel motor that makes 136hp at 3,600rpm and 320Nm of peak torque at 1,800-2,800rpm. This motor is mated to a five-speed manual transmission that sends power to all four wheels.

The D-Max V-Cross is in a niche of its own, with no direct rivals in the Indian market. The lifestyle pickup is also Isuzu’s most popular passenger vehicle, outselling its MU-X sibling.
