Jeep Meridian facelift: design
While there are no details about the Jeep Meridian facelift yet, it is expected to feature subtle styling updates like new front and rear bumpers, and minor reprofiling of the headlamps. The cabin could see new seat upholstery, while the overall layout will remain unchanged.
Jeep Meridian facelift: features
The Meridian facelift will also pack a few additional features that were recently introduced with the Compass Night Eagle edition, including front and rear dashcam, and an air purifier. Features like panoramic sunroof, a 10.2-inch touchscreen infotainment, dual-zone climate control, reclinable second- and third-row seats, wireless charger, and ambient lighting will all be carried over.
Jeep Meridian facelift: powertrain
Jeep offers the Meridian in India with a sole 2.0-litre diesel engine that puts out 170hp and 350Nm. The engine is mated to a 6-speed manual transmission or a 9-speed torque converter automatic. A petrol engine is also being evaluated for the India-spec Meridian, which will first be introduced on the Compass.
The Brazil-spec Meridian (called the Commander there) gets a 1.3-litre turbo-petrol engine making 185hp, which is the same engine we expect to be introduced for the Meridian in 2025. The Commander facelift will be getting Wrangler’s 2.0-litre turbo-petrol (272hp) engine, but we do not expect that to be the case for the Meridian.
Jeep Meridian facelift: expected price
As of now, the pre-facelift Jeep Meridian is priced between Rs 33.60 lakh-39.66 lakh (ex-showroom), and is available with benefits worth up to Rs 2.80 lakh this month. The facelift will likely result in a slight price increment, but ahead of the Meridian facelift’s debut, Jeep is all set to reveal the prices of the Wrangler facelift in India on April 22.
