Kia has showcased the EV6 facelift at the ongoing Bharat Mobility Global Expo in Delhi. Like the pre-facelift EV6, two GT-Line variants will be available: rear-wheel drive (RWD) and all-wheel drive (AWD). Apart from revised looks and new features, the electric vehicle also packs updated mechanicals. Kia India has started accepting bookings today, with a launch scheduled for March.

    1. The EV6 was Kia’s first electric vehicle in India
    2. Kia only brings the GT-Line trim to India; top-spec GT-Line S sold overseas
    3. Brought in as a CBU, unlike to be locally assembled like the Ioniq 5

Underpinned by the E-GMP platform, the EV6 showcased at the Auto Expo 2025 has a larger 84kWh battery pack (previously 77.4kWh), which is more energy-dense. This fourth-generation cell powers two motors making a combined 325hp and 605Nm, and provides all-wheel drive capability. Kia claims a range of over 650km on a single-charge.

Even the fast charging speeds have gone up; a 350kW fast charger is said to enable a rapid charge from 10 percent to 80 percent in just 18 minutes.

No changes have been made to the length, width and height: 4,695mm, 1,890mm and 1,550mm, respectively. The same applies to the 2,900mm wheelbase.

Talking about what’s new, the greater/less than LED Daytime Running Lamps have been replaced by nearly triangular ones and outline the headlights to complete the signature Star Map lighting setup. Further, subtle tweaks to the bumper, including the lower grille, make it look sharper, and it is now devoid of any chrome parts.

Since the dimensions remain unchanged, the overall silhouette is identical. New 19-inch alloy wheels with a machined finish and body-coloured side cladding are exclusive to the GT-Line trim. Similarly, the tail-lights and rear bumper have received a minor reprofile.

The two-spoke steering wheel now gets the new Kia logo positioned at the right. A fingerprint sensor for keyless driver recognition to start the car has been added. To aid in driving, the EV6 comes with an improved head-up display (HUD) and a digital rear-view mirror, besides AI-based navigation support – a feature seen in newer Genesis cars sold overseas. Inputs from the front camera are displayed with graphic overlays.

Kia has retained the curved panoramic screen that houses two 12.3-inch displays for instrumentation and infotainment. It will also offer wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, ambient lighting, a wireless charger, a digital key, vehicle-to-load (V2L) capability and over-the-air (OTA) software updates.

The EV6 has received a 5-star Euro NCAP rating; however, it was the pre-facelift that was crash tested in 2022. Its advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) suite includes forward, rear and blind-spot avoidance assists. Additionally, there is a reversing camera system and front and rear parking sensors.
