Kia has taken the wraps off the facelifted EV6. The refreshed EV from Kia now gets design tweaks upfront, a few more features and some interior changes.

    2. Kit now includes a new driver display and infotainment unit, digital rear-view mirror and more
    3. Now powered by larger latest 84 kWh battery pack with up to 494km of range

Kia EV6 facelift: what all is new?

First up, the EV6 gets a new front-end look. The conventional headlamp setup has been ditched in favour of angular LED daytime running lamps. The EV6 facelift’s front bumper and lower grill also get a fresh look that blends well with other changes.

Apart from these tweaks and the new-look alloy wheels (for the 19- or 20-inch wheels, depending on the variant and market), the rest of the EV6’s exterior appearance remains largely unchanged. Design modifications at the back are limited to minor reprofiling of the tail-lamps and the bumper.

On the inside, the EV6 facelift gets a curved panoramic screen that houses the digital instrument cluster and the infotainment display. The two-spoke steering wheel now has a fingerprint reader that allows registered drivers to start the car without a key. Over-the-air updates will be available for multiple features, including major electronic controls.

The facelift gets a digital rear-view mirror and an improved head-up display, along with an AI-based navigation setup that also features in newer Genesis models. This system uses the front camera with graphic overlays.

On the mechanical front, the EV6 facelift gets a new battery setup. It now features Hyundai Motor Group’s latest 84 kWh battery, which replaces the pre-facelift car’s 77.4 kWh pack. The EV6 facelift RWD with 19-inch wheels will now deliver around 494km, up from 475km earlier. This range figure shared by Kia is based on the test cycle that takes place in the Korean market. The new battery supports 350kW DC charging and is said to charge from 10 percent level to 80 percent in 18 minutes.

The EV6 RWD line-up gets a motor with 225hp and 350Nm of torque, while the dual-motor variants are good for 320hp and 605Nm. Kia says the EV6 facelift also gets frequency-selective dampers that improve ride comfort.
