Kia EV6 has been voluntarily recalled by the brand. A total of 1,380 units of the EV6, manufactured between March 3, 2022, and April 14, 2023, are affected by the recall. The software update in the Integrated Charging Control Unit (ICCU) aims to improve the charging and performance of the 12V auxiliary battery. This battery powers the Kia EV's lights, wipers and music system.

The company stated that it would directly reach out to the owners of the concerned vehicles and update them. Additionally, customers of the affected vehicles are urged to contact their respective Kia dealerships to schedule an appointment.
For further assistance, they may reach Kia at the toll-free number 1800-108-5005. The Ministry of Road Transport and Highways (MoRTH) has also been made aware of the recall by Kia.
