Kia Seltos facelift powertrain, trims and variants

Under the hood, the Seltos facelift continues with the 115hp, 144Nm, 1.5-litre petrol engine and a 116hp, 250Nm, 1.5-litre turbo-diesel engine. The former gets a 6-speed manual or a CVT, while the latter is offered with a 6-speed iMT or a 6-speed automatic gearbox. There’s also a new 1.5-litre turbo-petrol engine that produces class-leading 160hp and 253Nm of torque, and comes mated to a 6-speed iMT or a 7-speed DCT gearbox.

The 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine with the manual gearbox is available on the HTE, HTK, HTK+ and the HTX trims, while the CVT gearbox is only available on the HTX trim. As for the 1.5-litre diesel engine, it's available with an iMT gearbox as standard on all Tech Line trims – HTE, HTK, HTK+, HTX, HTX+ – while the torque converter automatic is offered on the HTX, GTX+ and X-Line trims.

The new 1.5-litre turbo-petrol engine is now also available on the Tech Line trims; on the pre-facelift model it was only offered on the GT Line and X-Line trims.

Kia Seltos facelift exterior and interior

The new Seltos comes with majorly refreshed front and rear styling – there’s an all-new bumper with a larger grille, redesigned headlights with new LED daytime running lamps that extend into the grille and a four-block design for the fog lamps. At the rear, there are new inverted L-shaped tail-lights connected by an LED light bar, and a sportier-looking bumper.

The Seltos facelift also gets a new colour – Pewter Olive – and is offered with eight other solid colours and two dual-tone colours. The turbo-petrol trims get dual exhaust tips, and the GT Line and X Line get a slightly different body kit than the Tech Line trims. The GT Line and X-Line trims also ride on class-leading 18-inch alloys.

Even more comprehensive are updates to the interior, the biggest talking point being the dual 10.25-inch connected screens for infotainment and instrumentation. The centre console has also been redesigned with slimmer AC vents and new HVAC controls. There are also more soft-touch materials all around the cabin, and the interior can be specced in three different colour combinations, depending on the trim.

    Kia Seltos facelift features

On the equipment front, the two biggest additions are the ADAS suite and the panoramic sunroof. The ADAS package brings with it forward collision warning assist, autonomous emergency braking and lane keep assist, to name a few, while six airbags, ESC, hill-start assist, all-wheel disc brakes, TPMS and three-point seat belts for all passengers with reminders are standard on all trims. Other notable features include a 360-degree camera, dual-zone climate control, an 8-inch head-up display, electronic parking brake, rain-sensing wipers and a Bose-tuned 8-speaker system with sound mood lamps.
