Maserati has launched the Grecale SUV in India, with prices starting from Rs 1.31 crore onwards. The Grecale is available in three variants – GT (Rs 1.31 crore), Modena (Rs 1.53 crore) and Trofeo (Rs 2.05 crore). Considering its price point, the Grecale is significantly more expensive than its closest rival, the Porsche Macan (Rs 96.05 lakh-1.53 crore).

Maserati Grecale GT powertrain, features
The Grecale GT is powered by a 300hp, 2.0-litre, four-cylinder turbo-petrol engine with mild-hybrid assist that's paired to an 8-speed automatic driving all four wheels. It has a claimed 0-100kph time of 5.6 seconds and a top speed of 240kph. A mechanical differential is offered as standard.
Maserati has equipped the exterior of the base Grecale with 19-inch wheels, LED headlights, chrome highlights on the grille and twin dual-exhaust tips, and metallic paint options. On the inside, this variant comes with 10-way powered front seats with a memory function, dual 12-inch screens for the digital instrument cluster and touchscreen infotainment, an optional HUD, an 8-inch touch-enabled panel for the dual-zone climate control system, a 14-speaker music system, and aluminium paddle shifters. Safety kit includes Level 1 ADAS.
Maserati Grecale Modena powertrain, features
The mid-spec Gracale Modena gets the same 2.0-litre engine, but tuned to produce 330hp, which helps it achieve a claimed 0-100kph time of 5.3 seconds. The top speed and other specifications are the same as the GT, but the Modena also gets a limited slip diff and adaptive suspension.
In terms of features, the Modena is equipped with 20-inch wheels, black highlights instead of chrome, leather interiors, 14-way adjustable sport seats with heating function and three-zone climate control.
Maserati Grecale Trofeo powertrain, features
The top-spec Grecale Trofeo comes with a 530hp, 3.0-litre V6 turbo-petrol unit that is said to help the model sprint to 100kph in just 3.8 seconds, and go on to a top speed of 285kph. The range-topper also gets an electronic limited slip diff as standard.
To the list of features offered on the Modena, the Trofeo adds 21-inch wheels, red highlights on the brake calipers, sportier front and rear bumpers, and side skirts, along with carbon-fibre elements inside and out.
Maserati India says that the brand already has pre-configured cars ready for buyers who would like delivery of their new Grecale immediately. However, those who want to personalise their SUV would have to wait five to eight months for delivery, depending on the level of customisation.
As we had reported earlier, the all-electric Grecale Folgore is also expected to make its way to India, though a specific timeline has yet to be revealed by Maserati.
Maserati India expansion plans
The Stellantis-owned Italian marque will re-enter the Delhi and Bengaluru markets, and at the upcoming inauguration of its New Delhi showroom, it will announce prices for the GranTurismo grand tourer. Considering that Maserati currently has just the one showroom in Mumbai, this network expansion, along with the new models coming, should help the company’s sales in our country.
However, there are no immediate plans to leverage Stellantis' dealer and service network that is already present in our market. Speaking to Autocar India, Philippe Claverol, head of Maserati’s overseas markets, said, “We act on our own, but we use some resources of Stellantis. We [currently] use Stellantis for some support functions – like importing the cars.” He did add that Maserati could explore further collaboration with Stellantis, but reiterated that there are no plans to do so in the immediate future.
All prices, ex-showroom, India
