JSW-MG Motor India has announced the commencement of pre-bookings of the Cyberster at the ongoing Auto Expo 2025. The brand also said official bookings will begin in March and confirmed that deliveries for the sporty EV will start in April. The Cyberster is MG’s first electric sports car and will be sold exclusively via the MG Select premium showrooms, which will also retail the Mifa 9 MPV, marketed as the M9 in India.

MG has brought the top-spec 77 kWh Cyberster to India, equipped with one motor on each axle, simulating an AWD setup. The electric powertrain produces a maximum of 510hp and 725Nm of torque, with a claimed 0-100kph time of 3.2 seconds. The range on a single charge is 580km, as per the China Light-Duty Vehicle Test Cycle (CLTC).

The automaker may launch the Cyberster RWD with a smaller 64kWh battery pack after assessing the public’s response.

The electric vehicle’s flat-bottom steering boasts the octagonal ‘MG’ logo, behind which sits a 10.25-inch driver’s display. Two 7-inch screens are placed on either side of the larger display. Its waterfall-style central console houses a vertically positioned 7-inch touchscreen next to the drive selector. Controls for operating the soft top are located below the touchscreen.

The buttons to control the HVAC system are touch-operated instead of physical ones. Other features include adaptive cruise control, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and a 360-degree parking camera. The Cyberster also comes with ADAS features like blind-spot monitoring, lane-keep assist, rear cross-traffic alert, and front collision warning.

The drop-top, two-seater electric vehicle is inspired by the MG B Roadster, featuring an octagon ‘MG’ badge and a long bonnet. A sealed nose and an upward-swooping air dam have been added to the front, making for a ‘smiling’ face. Notably, the Cyberster is the first EV to come with scissor doors in India.

It gets standard 20-inch alloy wheels. The rear features left and right arrow-shaped tail-lights, connected by an LED light bar that runs above them. The bumper also has an aggressive split diffuser with a black finish.

    MG Cyberster colors

As we reported earlier, the Cyberster will be available in India in four colours: red, grey, white, and yellow. In the European market, it comes with a choice of six colours.
