Force Motors outlets have officially begun accepting bookings for the Gurkha twins. The all-new Gurkha 5-door and the heavily updated Gurkha 3-door will go on sale by early May 2024. A few dealer sources have conveyed to us that the price announcement could take place later this week, most likely on May 2, 2024. However, there is no official confirmation from the brand.

    1. Gurkha now gets two body styles
    2. More powerful 140hp engine standard on both
    3. Both models get standard 4WD gear

Force Gurkha: more power, fresh looks, more features

Now available in three- and five-door body styles, both iterations of the Gurkha get the same 2.6-litre Mercedes-sourced diesel engine. This engine has been upgraded to churn out a decent 140hp, which is a big jump from the 91hp output seen in the outgoing Gurkha. The only gearbox on offer is a 5-speed manual; there is no automatic on offer even now. Four-wheel drive is standard, which can now be controlled via a switch on the centre console.

As far as features go, the Gurkha gets a 9-inch infotainment screen, a full digital instrument cluster and some other creature comforts. However, it does lack quite a few features when compared to other SUVs in its category, like the Thar.
