Audi has released a teaser of the upcoming third-generation Q5 ahead of its global debut, set to take place on September 2.
    1. Next-gen Q5 to get an extensive design makeover

The carmaker has teased the new headlights of the upcoming next-gen Q5, revealing a sharper design. The upper portion consists of the LED daytime running lamps separated by the Matrix LED unit. A projector is placed in the lower part of the headlamp, which will likely be the main unit. Audi is yet to reveal other design details, but we expect significant changes to the new Q5 SUV inside and out.

On the inside, the new Q5 will use the dual-screen infotainment unit that’s seen in the Q6 e-tron. The 11.9-inch digital instrument cluster and the 14.5-inch touchscreen infotainment, both of which run Audi’s latest operating system, were captured in spy shots last month.

New Audi Q5 powertrain, expected price

While the next-gen Q5’s powertrain details haven’t been revealed, internationally, we expect petrol and diesel engines with 48V mild-hybrid tech and at least one plug-in hybrid with about 100km of EV-only range. Higher variants will get Audi’s Quattro AWD system as standard, while entry-level trims will be FWD. A manual gearbox option isn’t expected.

The prices of current-gen Q5 sold in India start at Rs 65.51 lakh and go up to Rs 72.30 lakh for the recently launched Bold Edition. The next-gen model will be brought here, but Audi India has yet to reveal a launch timeline.
