The new Kia Seltos has been spotted in India for the first time ahead of its mid-2025 global debut. Kia's answer to the Creta, the current-gen Seltos, has been around since 2019.
- Next-gen Seltos to be similar in size to the outgoing model
- Expected to get a lot of design cues from newer Kia models
- Will get multiple engine options; petrol hybrid could join late

Next-gen Kia Seltos to feature EV5 like design
The test mule seen in India looks similar to the ones spotted in Korea a few weeks ago. Unlike a few other Hyundai-Kia models, the Seltos is manufactured in many locations, including South Korea, India, China, and others. The new Seltos will most likely continue on the same platform as the outgoing model, which means the dimensions are expected to be similar. The design, however, will be completely new and more in line with the newer Kia models, especially the EV 5 SUV.
The front and rear fascias will have more angular cuts, with sharp-looking headlamps incorporating a connected LED element. At the rear, the new Seltos also seems to have connected tail-lamps, with angular C-shaped units at each corner, similar to the EV5.
Next-gen Kia Seltos powertrain details
While the powertrain details remain under wraps, we expect Kia to offer a slew of engine and gearbox options on the new Seltos, just like the current car. The line-up will include turbo petrol and turbo diesel powertrains, with a petrol-hybrid option likely to join later. Kia has previously hinted that it is evaluating petrol-hybrid powertrains for its India line-up.
Next-gen Kia Seltos India launch details
As we reported earlier, the all-new Seltos could see its global debut sometime in the second quarter of 2025. We expect the all-new Creta rival to come to India in late next year or early 2026.
