However, the new Slavia Classic trim brings the entry-level price down by Rs 94,000 to Rs 10.69 lakh. Meanwhile, even prices for the range-topping Slavia have reduced by a considerable amount. The new Prestige variant (Rs 15.99 lakh to Rs 18.69 lakh) undercuts the previous top-spec Style Elegance trim (Rs 17.53 lakh to Rs 18.93 lakh), although the latter was only available with the larger 1.5-litre turbo-petrol engine.
While there or no major changes mechanically, Skoda says that the 115hp, 1.0-litre turbo-petrol engine has been certified as E20 compliant by ARAI. The 150hp, 1.5-litre turbo-petrol engine is currently undergoing testing and the results will be available by Q4 2024. Both engines get a 6-speed manual as standard, but the smaller unit can be optioned with a 6-speed torque convertor auto and the larger one gets a 7-speed dual-clutch auto option.
