For Lamborghini's 60th anniversary celebrations, the brand organised an event where they showcased an art project in New Delhi on November 30. At the event, Sharad Agarwal, Head, Lamborghini India revealed the current state of the brand’s sales, waiting periods, and more.

    1. Lamborghini India sales at an all-time high
    2. Huge order backlog due to waiting periods standing at 18 to 20 months

The head of the Italian supercar marque in India says that demand is coming from all across the country, and the sheer aspiration is driving the tremendous growth in the supercar space.

“The economy is growing fast, there is a positive sentiment, and the sheer buyer aspiration is driving the tremendous growth in the supercar space. We are seeing customers loosening their wallets and opening up to these purchases more than ever before,” said Agarwal told our sister publication Autocar Professional. “A booming economy and its resilience to the global uncertainties is making India emerge as a key driving force for supercars, and supercar sales in India should be 10x of what we are doing right now in the next 5-6 years,” he added.

Agarwal pointed out that the company has a huge backlog and that there is a waiting period of almost 18-20 months for most Lamborghini models in the country. “Despite consistently increasing allocations for India, whatever is being sourced is getting sold out,” he said, citing his optimism towards the continued demand for supercars in the country. This bodes well for the soon-to-arrive Revuelto V12 plug-in hybrid supercar, which is scheduled to launch on December 6.
