Volkswagen Tiguan gets Rs 4.2 lakh worth of year-end discounts

    The Taigun SUV gets up to Rs 1.46 lakh, while the Virtus sedan gets up to Rs 1.17 lakh worth of benefits this December.

    Volkswagen India has officially announced big benefits and discounts on its model line-up as it looks to clear old stocks before the end of 2023. The German brand currently has three models in its portfolio – the Virtus midsize sedan, Taigun midsize SUV and the Tiguan SUV – all of which are available with discounts until the end of this month.

    1. Tiguan gets up to Rs 4.2 lakh off
    2. Taigun gets up to Rs 1.46 lakh off
    3. Virtus gets up to Rs 1.17 lakh off

    Volkswagen Tiguan discounts December 2023

    The Tiguan is VW’s current flagship SUV in India, and is available with a cash discount worth Rs 75,000, along with exchange and corporate benefits up to Rs 75,000 and Rs 1 lakh, respectively. Volkswagen India has also authorised select dealers to offer a four-year Service Value Package worth Rs 86,000 and special benefits up to Rs 84,000. Priced at Rs 35.17 lakh, the Tiguan comes with a sole 190hp, 2.0-litre turbo-petrol engine that sends power to all four wheels via a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic, and VW’s 4Motion system.

    VW’s rival to the Hyundai Creta and Kia Seltos, among others in the fiercely competitive midsize SUV segment, is available with a cash discount of up to Rs 40,000, exchange and corporate benefits up to Rs 40,000 and 30,000 respectively, and special benefits worth Rs 36,000. However, the maximum cash discount is only for the range-topping Taigun Topline AT without the powered front seats; this feature was added to the SUV recently.

    Including all the recently launched limited-run models, the Taigun is currently priced between Rs 11.62 lakh-19.76 lakh. The SUV is on sale with 1.0-litre TSI and 1.5-litre TSI engine options, each with their respective manual and automatic gearboxes. The brand has also introduced a new Deep Black Pearl finish on the top-spec 1.0-litre Topline variant to push sales even further.

    Volkswagen Virtus discounts December 2023

    Volkswagen’s Virtus midsize sedan has total benefits worth Rs 1.17 lakh available this month. This includes a cash discount of up to Rs 50,000, exchange and corporate benefits of up to Rs 20,000 and Rs 17,000 each, and special benefits worth Rs 30,000. The Honda City and Hyundai Verna rival shares its engine and gearbox options with the Taigun, and is currently priced between Rs 11.48 lakh-19.29 lakh. The Virtus also got the new Deep Black Pearl finish for its range-topping 1.0-litre TSI Topline variant.

    Tiguan is not worth with VeryPoor mileage of 8km per liter of petrol in city Against Toyota Innova Hybrid petrol. With 12kmper liter of petrol in city driving
