    As part of its festive season onslaught, Volkswagen has now announced prices for the Virtus GT Plus Matte Edition, bookings for which were opened last month. The Virtus GT Plus Matte Edition has been priced between Rs 17.62 lakh-19.29 lakh (ex-showroom, India), and closely follows the Slavia Matte edition that was introduced just a couple of days ago. Volkswagen has also updated the Virtus and the Taigun with a few nifty new features.

    Volkswagen Virtus GT Plus Matte Edition

    The Virtus GT Plus Matte edition is part of the brand’s GT Edge collection that previously has also seen the Deep Black Pearl variant of both the Virtus and Taigun. The most distinctive element here is the dark matte grey paint shade. On the inside, it additionally features aluminium pedals, cherry red leatherette upholstery and red ambient lighting.

    The special matte finish is only available with the 150hp, 1.5-litre turbo-petrol motor with both manual and DSG automatic gearboxes. It's available only through online booking, and deliveries are expected to commence this month which will be on a first come, first served basis. The matte variants will only be available in limited numbers.

    The Virtus GT Plus Matte Edition is Rs 20,000 more expensive than the GT Plus Deep Black Pearl variant, and Rs 40,000 more expensive than a regular Virtus GT Plus.

    Volkswagen Virtus, Taigun updated with new features

    Volkswagen has also updated both the Taigun and Virtus with front-powered seats (driver and co-passenger) as well as footwell illumination on the Topline and GT Plus variants of both models. The company has also introduced a sub-woofer and amplifier on the GT Plus variants of the Taigun and Virtus. These features were recently also rolled out on the Skoda Slavia and Kushaq. The variants of the Virtus and Taigun that come equipped with the front powered seats, however, are priced at a premium ranging between Rs 19,000-36,000.

    Volkswagen festive season offers

    Volkswagen is also offering a range of offers and benefits that’s exclusive for the festive season. This includes free vehicle check-ups, free pick-up and drop facility for defined kilometres, door-step services through Volkswagen assistance and mobile service units on periodic maintenance, and attractive offers on service packages, extended warranty, roadside assistance and tyres.

    Customers can also win assured gifts on test drives and bookings of Volkswagen cars in the period between October 3 to November 15, 2023.
