Kia Seltos: A Stylish and Practical Daily Driver
Owning the Kia Seltos for the past few months has been a great experience. I was drawn to its bold design and premium features, and it has delivered on both fronts. The sharp LED headlights, aggressive grille, and sporty alloys make it look far more expensive than it is—people often mistake it for a higher-end SUV.
On the road, it’s smooth and easy to drive. I opted for the 1.5L petrol CVT, and while it’s not a performance monster, it’s perfect for city commutes and occasional highway runs. The steering feels light in traffic but gains enough weight at higher speeds to give me confidence. Plus, I’m getting a decent mileage of around 15-16 km/l in mixed driving conditions.
Inside, the cabin feels modern and well put together. The touchscreen infotainment system is slick, the Bose speakers sound great, and there’s plenty of space for my family. I especially appreciate features like the ventilated seats and the sunroof, which make longer drives much more enjoyable.
On the downside, the ride does feel a bit firm over bad roads, especially for rear passengers. Also, while it’s feature-loaded, I feel Kia could’ve improved the quality of some interior plastics at this price point.
That said, the Seltos has been a reliable and stylish companion. It’s perfect for someone looking for a premium SUV that’s fun to drive, practical for daily use, and packed with features that make every drive feel special. I’m happy I chose it.
