BMW has updated its flagship sportbike with refreshed styling, featuring a revised front fascia with a new fairing and winglet design. BMW has also equipped the S 1000 RR with a wheel cover at the front, which helps channel cool air to the front brake callipers. Apart from these updates, there are no other changes, and the S 1000 RR continues to carry forth the same list of features and equipment.

It continues to be powered by the same 999cc inline four-cylinder motor that produces 210hp at 13,750rpm and 113Nm at 11,000rpm. BMW says the S 1000 RR can hit a top speed of 303kph and tips the scales at 197kg. The standard equipment list includes a colour TFT, full LED lighting, four riding modes, adjustable levers and a bi-directional quickshifter. Priced at Rs 21.20 lakh, the S 1000 RR is now Rs 45,000 more expensive than the outgoing S 1000 RR.
