Hero has launched the Splendor+ XTEC 2.0 at Rs 82,911 (ex-showroom, Delhi). This model is meant to celebrate the 30th anniversary of Hero’s evergreen commuter.

    1. Spendor has claimed mileage of 73kpl
    2. Remains mechanically identical to other Splendor variants
    3. Gets a bespoke dual-tone paint scheme

    Hero Splendor engine, features: details

Powering the Hero Splendor is the simple air-cooled, 97.2cc, sloper mill making 8.02hp at 8,000rpm and 8.05Nm of torque at 6,000rpm. This engine is mated to a 4-speed gearbox, the norm for 100cc commuter bikes. Hero claims this mill has a fuel efficiency figure of 73kpl. Aiding it in achieving this figure is Hero’s i3s start-stop system.

Differentiating this bike from the rest of the lineup is a stealthy dual-tone colour scheme. Upon close inspection, the indicator housings also seem to be a different shape than the trademark square ones seen on the other Splendor models.

Beyond this, the Splendor+ XTEC 2.0 is the same simple, reliable bike that has proven to be so successful in our country. Being the XTEC model, this bike comes equipped with a digital display that is Bluetooth-compatible, which means you can get call and message alerts on the fly and this bike also has a USB charging port.

At Rs 82,911, the Hero Splendor+ XTEC 2.0 costs Rs 3,000 more than the standard XTEC and rivals to this bike include the Honda Shine 100 (Rs 64,900) and the Bajaj Platina 100 (Rs 67,808).
