While Suzuki has revealed its challenger for the EV market in the e-Access, it has also not withdrawn from the petrol scooter game. Its popular family scooter, the Access 125, has been updated, and its prices begin at Rs 81,700.
- Access continues to be available in three variants
- It now has a larger 24.4-litre underseat storage
- Mechanically, it’s very similar to the previous model
The Access 125 continues to be powered by the same 125cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled engine, which is now OBD2B-compliant. It is rated to produce 8.4hp and 10.2Nm. Power has actually gone down by 0.3hp, but torque has risen by 0.2Nm. The rest of the scooter appears mechanically identical to the previous model.
Suzuki has also refreshed the Access 125’s 7-year-old design. The LED headlight is now sharper and smaller and is reminiscent of the e-Access. For 2025, the Access has been given an LED tail-lamp.
There’s also an addition of dual pockets at both ends of the front apron, and the underseat storage space has increased to 24.4 litres from 21.8 litres. With this update, Suzuki has also given the scooter a remote fuel filler, which was one of our gripes with the previous model.
The Access 125 continues to get a digital instrument cluster, but its functionality has been updated. It now has additional features, like a digital wallet, periodic service reminders and fuel consumption details. All these work when you pair your smartphone with the Suzuki Ride Connect app. The scooter now has a pass switch and a hazard light switch, too.
Like the outgoing model, the updated Access 125 is available in three variants – Standard, Special and Ride Connect – and five colour options: green, beige, blue, white and black. The previous Suzuki Access 125 was priced from Rs 79,899 to Rs 90,500 (ex-showroom, Delhi).
