While there aren’t many mechanical changes – the M340i continues to be powered by the 374hp, 3.0-litre, six-cylinder turbo-petrol engine with 48V mild-hybrid assist – the performance sedan now gets the adaptive suspension as standard. BMW claims that the M340i is the quickest ICE car built in India, accelerating from 0-100kph in just 4.4 seconds.

In addition, the AC vents’ design has been tweaked slightly, and they get new knobs to make adjustments.

Moreover, BMW now offers two more colour choices for the M340i– Arctic Race Blue and Fire Red – in addition to the previously available Dravit Grey and Black Sapphire, bringing the total number of colour options to four. No other changes have been made to the M340i, whether in terms of features, safety or design. As always, buyers can opt for a bevy of optional M Performance accessories to customise and personalise their car.
