The German manufacturer said the depreciating value of the Rupee compared to Euro along with increasing input and logistical costs have been the reasons for the hike this time around. The last price hike was also due to rising input and logistical costs. Mercedes-Benz says that while it will absorb most of these costs, it will pass on a portion of it to the consumers.

Prices for the A-Class limousine and GLA will be increased uniformly by Rs 2 lakh, while the C-Class, E-Class and S-Class’ prices will be hiked by Rs 2.5 lakh, Rs 3.5 lakh and Rs 6 lakh, respectively. Meanwhile, prices for the GLE 300d 4Matic and GLE 400d 4Matic will see an increase by Rs 2 lakh and Rs 3 lakh, respectively. The GLS will have a price hike of Rs 10 lakh.

Coming to the luxury end of Mercedes-Benz, the brand will hike the price of the Maybach S580 by Rs 12 lakh. On the other hand, the EQS 580 will see an increase of Rs 4 lakh. Here’s how much more each Mercedes-Benz model will cost:
