Automobiles made a lot of buzz in January due to the Auto Expo 2025, and as we enter the second month of the year, several carmakers are keeping the momentum going with launches. Interestingly, all three cars slated for launch are ICE. Without further ado, let’s find out about the two SUVs and a sports car launching in February.
Kia Syros
Since December 2024, we have covered everything from the reveal to the review of the Kia Syros compact SUV. The only unknown was its price. We expect the base Syros HTK to start at around Rs 10 lakh as it sits above the Sonet; it doesn't have HTE and HTE (O) trims. Similarly, the top Syros HTX+ (O) could have a Rs 15 lakh-16 lakh price range. Pre-bookings for the new SUV are open for Rs 25,000.
With the Syros SUV, Kia has focused on overall space in the cabin, especially at the back. Additional features here over the Sonet are bigger 12.3-inch touchscreen and driver’s display, a panoramic sunroof and adjustable and ventilated rear seats.
It will be offered with two engines, a 120hp, 172Nm, 1.0-litre turbo petrol and a 116hp, 250Nm, 1.5-litre diesel. The petrol's efficiency ranges between 17.6kpl (AT) and 18.2kpl (MT), while the diesel's is 17.6kpl and 20.7kpl (MT and AT, respectively).
Audi RS Q8 Performance
Our RS Q8 Performance review has all the details from its design and features to its engine specifications and performance. This is the top model in the Audi RS Q8 line-up and holds the title of being the fastest SUV yet around the Nurburgring. The exterior looks bolder than the Audi Q8 facelift, with LED Matrix headlights and OLED tail-lights. In the UK, 22-inch alloy wheels are offered as standard, while 23-inch alloys are an optional upgrade. Only time will tell what the India-spec RS Q8 will feature.
Under the hood of the RS Q8 Performance is a 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 engine pumping out 640hp and 850Nm. This propels the RS Q8 Performance from 0-100kph in 3.6 seconds and reach a top speed of over 305kph. The integration of a 48V mild-hybrid system further boosts acceleration. Online bookings are already open for Rs 5 lakh, and we expect the RS Q8 to cost north of Rs 1.6 crore in India.
Aston Martin Vanquish
The Aston Martin Vanquish is returning after six years. It is powered by an upgraded 5.2-litre twin-turbo V12 that produces 835hp and a massive 1,000Nm of torque. Compared to the Aston Martin Vantage, the Vanquish packs an extra 170hp and 200Nm. Its 0-100kph time of 3.2 seconds is quicker than the Vantage by 0.3 seconds, and it reaches a top speed of 345kph.
The headlights and grille design of the Vanquish are inspired by the DB12. Its bonnet features two large air vents, while the rear gets quad exhausts and vertically stacked LED tail-lights that form a staircase pattern. Inside, there’s a new centre console with a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system. It also has a similar-sized digital driver’s display, a 1,170-watt 15-speaker Bowers & Wilkins audio system, a wireless phone charger, a panoramic sunroof and an ADAS suite. Aston Martin may price the Vanquish upwards of Rs 6 crore, ex-showroom, before options.
