The Mahindra XUV700 Ebony Edition has been launched in India with prices starting at Rs 19.64 lakh, and going up to Rs 24.14 lakh. As its name implies, the Ebony version is Mahindra’s new take on an all-black SUV, and, going against the grain, it's purposely not all black, says the brand. Mahindra also says that they've come up with the XUV700 Ebony based on consumer feedback.

- Contrasting elements outside and inside ensure XUV700 Ebony is mostly black

Mahindra XUV700 Ebony interior and features
Light grey roof liner is the XUV700 Ebony's most noticeable contrasting element

On the inside, Mahindra has given the XUV700 Ebony black leatherette upholstery (with white stitching on the seats) and a dark dash and door finish, but it has added other contrasting elements to ensure that this isn’t an all-black interior. The most noticeable contrasting element is the light grey roof liner, though the other contrasting bits include silver plastic bits on the steering and dashboard, along with dark chrome highlights on the steering-mounted controls and the gear console.
Features and safety kit identical to AX7 and AX7 L variants

The feature set and safety suite on the XUV700 Ebony are identical to the variants they are based on. Highlights of the XUV700 AX7 include Level 2 ADAS suite, a 6-way powered driver’s seat with a memory function, auto headlights and wipers, and dual-zone climate control. The AX7 L, meanwhile, comes with a blind spot monitor, a 360-degree camera, a knee airbag (taking the total to 7), an electronic parking brake, a 12-speaker sound system, ventilated front seats and rear LED sequential turn indicators.

Mahindra has also added a rear seat belt reminder on all variants of the XUV700 range. The brand also says that this is the last update the XUV700 will get, but it is yet to reveal any other details.
