The Mahindra Bolero Neo Plus is a tough, body-on-frame SUV, designed to ferry up to nine adults. Essentially a rebranded TUV300 Plus, the Bolero Neo Plus carries forward the 2+3+4 seating layout, thanks to its side-facing benches. Powering the Bolero Neo Plus is a 2.2-litre turbo-diesel engine which produces 120hp and 280Nm, mated to a 6-speed manual gearbox that transmits power to the rear wheels. Priced between Rs 11.39 lakh and Rs 12.49 lakh, the Neo Plus is available in just two variants. Even though it is not as feature-rich or as modern as other compact SUVs available at this price point, the Bolero Neo Plus’ tough construction makes it adept to deal with bad and broken roads.
